Briton - 4 and 5!

Briton my love, can you believe you are 5 months old…. and counting!?! You are getting so big! Your cute little face is changing from day to day, you have a butt chin just like your daddy and two little dimples in your cheeks. Your hair is starting to grow on top and I love how it sticks straight up! You have been wearing 6 month clothes for a while now and your thighs are so big they look like Christmas hams. Ha!  You are sleeping pretty well at night, but on occasion you like to surprise us with a wake up call around 3 am - you just want to say, “Hi” and let us know you’re still around. I can’t get enough of your silly personality and your infectious smile. Briton...you have definitely had a busy last two months, both everyday life and life changing events have occurred – and with you around, it is easy to find joy amongst it all!

Here are some of the highlights of your 4th and 5th months:

You got to spend quite a few snow days at home with me. We had some fun Briton and Mommy time!

Your great-grandpa Bob passed away! It was a very hard day, but you got to hear wonderful stories about him at his “celebration of life” ceremony.

You celebrated your first Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day. They were both pretty uneventful at our house!

You have discovered that your saucer/jumparoo thing is possibly the coolest toy ever! You close your mouth, get such a serious look on your face and just jump, jump, jump!!!

You went to the doctor because you got your first ear infection, then the next week you went in for your 4 month check up, and then the next week you went back because you had another ear infection! It hurt my heart to see your little ears were causing you so much pain!

You love to read books! Every night before you go to bed, we read you a book and you love to listen and look at the pictures.

You went to Wichita to visit friends!

You like to lie on your back and roll to your side. Sometimes you will roll all the way over - usually when we are not looking, but most of the time you just hangout on your side because that's just more fun right now!

You celebrated your first Easter with lots of family.

You had your first bite of rice cereal – you did such a good job with the spoon and we videotaped it all.

You made a quick trip to Lincoln to spend time with family for Cousin Lindsay’s Wedding Shower.

Great-Grandpa Bob with you at the hospital after you were born!

Yummy!
