It's Always Peachy in Wichita!

Oh, I’m so glad......

….We were able to spend this past weekend visiting our good friends, Amy and Adam, in Wichita.

….We ate the “world’s greatest hummus!”

….We picked up some “Hot Now” donuts from Krispy Kreme. 

….Alex and Adam built a fire pit and we all made s’mores, only to find out it was national s’more day.

….We visited a little peach farm, picked our own peaches, met the nicest peach farm lady (who taught us everything we will ever need to know about peaches), and were fortunate enough to be able to take a stroll down the “prized” peach orchard.

….We frequented the local grocery store “Dillions.”

….We had a yummy taco night!

….Alex attempted to make a peach cobbler! Good job honey – I liked it! 

….We had a great weekend with our BCF’s! It was good to see Adam, Amy and Bruce! Can’t wait for our next adventure together! Thanks for everything Anderson's!

Lyle's Open

Ever since I can remember, the first weekend in August has always been spent participating in the annual Lyle's Open Golf Tournament. There is a town in Nebraska called NewCastle, where my parents are from, and in that town, there is a little bar called Lyle's! Lyle's sponsors the golf tournament and it is always a great time for my family. The past three years Alex has played in the tournament, and he has had a lot of fun, so last year he started to invite his friends to come play. It was fun to have Matt, Heather, Riley & Zach come up the night before the tournament, hang out with my family, play ladder golf for hours & have a big slumber party (Although the boys did miss Scott & his stories this year). After the long awaited tournament was all said and done, Team #MARZ came out with the championship, shooting a -12 (Alex even won an individual pin-prize for longest putt & Matt got one for closest to the pin in 2 shots)!  Not quite sure if the locals were very fond of their win!

While the boys were all golfing, the girls were able to hangout, catch up, attend Stacie's baby shower, and just have a great time! It was a fun weekend, and we were able to spend time with some amazing family and friends! And a big shout out to all the family who couldn't make it (Ry Guy, D&K, Kevin, Molls, Phils, Lindsey, and cousin Bret), we missed you all and love ya!
